WebCamp One Website Now Coded in HTML5
, written by: JimHTML - Hyper-Text Markup Language - is moving from version 4 to version 5. Oh, the Standards are not quite done yet, but they are close enough that we can begin working with them. Personally, I always code in XHTML, sort of a cross between XML and HTML. I like the much stricter requirements of standardized XHTML.
In a nod to the new emerging standard of HTML5, I have recoded webcampone.com from the groud up. It now validates as HTML5. I've also incorporated a Content Management System into the site -- just for the hell of it, really. It makes it easier and quicker to add new sites to our portfolio and testimonial pages.
HTML5 -- from what I've seen so far, I like where it's headed. It's another leap forward towards a truly semantic web.
